Noticeboard
Making Surgery Appointments
Please telephone the surgery as soon as possible to make an appointment
for the Doctor or Nurse. Remember the receptionists are here
to help you and cannot be held responsible for surgeries running
late. If you cannot make your appointment, please ring the
surgery as soon as possible to cancel, as we can then offer
the appointment to another patient.
Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions cannot be issued over the telephone.
All prescription requests must be in writing and at least
48 hours
notice must be given. This gives the staff the timed needed
to prepare and check that each prescription is correct.
Whenever possible please tick the medication required on
the printed slip provided by the surgery given to you with
last prescription.
If you need prescription posted back to you, please provide
a self-addressed envelope. Requests by fax are acceptable.
Fax
number 020 8316 6353 (Plumstead) and 020 8855 7689 (Welling).
Some chemists also provide delivery service for housebound
patients. Our staff can arrange that for you but delays
or non-delivery
is not our responsibility.
Home Visits
You may request for a doctor’s visit to see an unwell
patient at home. Please try to come to the surgery if at all
possible where it is easier for the doctor to examine and treat
patients under more suitable conditions. Mostly housebound
patients or only those who cannot travel due to illness may
be visited. Children should be brought to the Surgery because
they are easier to be carried. The reason that patient does
not own a vehicle is not usually acceptable, where a public
transport or a taxi may be used.
This service is ONLY for genuine emergencies or for house
bound patients who want non-urgent doctor visits. If
you need a non
urgent home visit for house bound please telephone the
surgery before 10 a.m. to request the visit if it is
needed that day.
Usually the Doctor will speak to you first and he/she
will then decide if a home visit is necessary.
If you ring the surgery after 10.00 a.m. then a doctor
may not be able to see you until the following day
